Cookie Policy

Effective date: August 3, 2026 | Global cookie-banner approach

This Cookie Policy explains how Ken Beauty LLC and service providers use cookies and similar technologies on www.thekenbeauty.com. It should be read with the Privacy Policy. The actual cookie inventory may change when Shopify settings or applications change. The live consent-management platform should display the current cookies, providers, purposes, and durations.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small data files stored on a browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage, software development kits, scripts, and server-side identifiers. These technologies can remember preferences, keep a cart functioning, secure checkout, measure performance, attribute affiliate referrals, display embedded content, and support advertising when permitted.

2. Categories we may use

Category

Purpose

Typical examples

Default treatment

Strictly necessary

Operate the storefront, secure sessions, remember consent, maintain cart, enable checkout, process payment, prevent fraud, and provide requested account functions.

Shopify session, cart, checkout, security, consent-preference, authentication, and load-balancing technologies.

Active because the site or requested service cannot function properly without them.

Functional

Remember language, region, accessibility or display preferences, enable chat or media, and provide optional features.

Preference cookies, embedded video settings, account conveniences, and optional support tools.

Used according to consent requirements and user settings.

Analytics and performance

Understand visits, page interactions, campaign performance, errors, and aggregate usage so the site can be improved.

Shopify Analytics, Mailchimp campaign measurement, and Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, or similar tools only if actually installed.

Blocked until consent where required; users can reject or withdraw.

Advertising and social media

Measure advertisements, limit repetition, attribute conversions, enable social-media features, or personalize ads on ordinary storefront pages.

Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Pinterest, social embeds, or similar tools only if actually installed.

Blocked until consent where required; not permitted on health-data intake or consultation pages without specific review.

Affiliate attribution

Record that a visitor used an affiliate link or discount code and report a qualifying purchase to an affiliate network or vendor.

Amazon Associates and vendor-specific affiliate or coupon tracking.

Disclosed as affiliate tracking; consent applied where legally required.

3. Providers that may set technologies

Depending on the final Shopify configuration, technologies may be placed or accessed by Ken Beauty and providers such as Shopify, Shopify Payments, Mailchimp, affiliate networks, embedded social-media or video services, analytics providers, advertising platforms, cookie-consent providers, fraud-prevention services, and installed Shopify applications. The developer must review the final application list and update the live inventory before launch and whenever an app is added or removed.

4. Global consent banner

Ken Beauty intends to display a cookie banner globally. The banner should provide equally clear choices to “Accept All,” “Reject Nonessential,” and “Manage Preferences.” Strictly necessary technologies may remain active. Nonessential analytics, advertising, social-media, and similar technologies should not load before the required consent. Preferences should be easy to change later through a persistent “Cookie Settings” footer link.

5. Health-data pages

Pages that collect consultation photographs, medical conditions, medication details, procedure history, symptoms, reactions, or other consumer health data should use a privacy-minimized configuration. Advertising pixels, audience-building tags, heat maps, session replay, and unnecessary analytics should be disabled on those pages unless specifically approved by counsel and accurately disclosed and consented to.

6. Browser and device controls

You may also block or delete cookies through browser settings. Doing so may affect cart, checkout, login, preferences, or other features. Browser controls do not always control server-side processing or technologies inside third-party applications, so use the website preference center and any provider-specific opt-out tools as applicable.

7. Do Not Track and opt-out signals

Because industry responses to browser “Do Not Track” signals are not uniform, the site may not respond to every signal. Where legally required and technically supported, Ken Beauty will process recognized opt-out preference signals and provide a Data Sharing / Targeted Advertising Opt-Out page through Shopify or another compliant method.

8. Changes and contact

This Cookie Policy may be updated when providers, apps, technologies, or legal requirements change. Questions may be sent to thekenbeauty@gmail.com.
